Josh Woods is the newest member of the Mobile City Council. In July, he was elected to represent District 6, in the western part of the city. Now, he’s tasked with representing the majority of the residents that were annexed into the city, at least until the council district lines are re-drawn.
Woods is a native of Mobile and executive director of The Grounds, a fairgrounds venue. He lives in District 6 with his wife and three children. Here, he discusses his priorities heading into his first year on the council and what the newly annexed residents are looking for.
